Texas Wedding Locations

They say everything's bigger in Texas. But, thank goodness, your wedding in Texas can be anything you want it to be: intimate with just the two of you; a small wedding with close family or friends; or a big, Texas-sized wedding with all the trimmings.

Here are some prime Texas wedding venues scattered throughout Texas you might want to check out. Do check back with us in the future as we are constantly adding new venues. (You have remembered to mark us as one of your favorites, haven't you?)

Dallas Area Wedding Venues

Paradise Cove at Lake Grapevine
3029 Midway Road
Southlake, Texas
817-329-1668
Email: weddings@paradisecovetx.com

Located just north of Dallas-Fort Worth, Paradise Cove at Lake Grapevine is a private facility located on the banks of Lake Grapevine. You can have your wedding ceremony in a gazebo by the lake, on a patio with the lake in the background, or in front of a fireplace in their lakeside dining area. Whichever you choose you'll be assured of romantic wedding photos. I'd probably go for the gazebo if the weather's great outside.

Paradise Cove does provide full catering services, along with a wood dance floor in the reception area, and stage for a DJ or band.

Wyldewood Wedding Chapel
903-463-1523

Wyldewood Wedding Chapel is located just 60 miles north of Dallas, and has been voted "Best Location in Texoma to Say "I Do"." With its 19th century "Gone With the wind" style property, vintage furnishings, high-vaulted ceilings, chandeliers, floral gardens with antique roses and carriage horses, it will feel like the fairytale wedding you've been dreaming of. All ceremony packages include the wedding rehearsal, wedding ceremony and reception. As of this writing, the packages start at $1280, but do call for the most up-to-date information.

A and M Gardens
12809 Gantt Road
South Azle, TX
Email: MelodyShelton@aandmgardens.com

A and M Gardens is located just 45 minutes from Dallas, across the street from Eagle Mountain Lake. They offer an outdoor garden with gazebo and waterfall, as well as an indoor banquet facility with provides a full kitchen, elegant bar and a revolving crystal dancing ball. The banquet facility is handicap accessible.

Houston Area Wedding Venues

FantaSea Yacht Charters
281-538-9600

There's really nothing quite like having a wedding on a yacht. And FantaSea Yacht Charters has years of experience helping couples tie the knot on the water. Their 117-ft. luxury yacht is U.S. Coast Guard Certified for up to 149 guests.

FantaSea offers a 3-hour afternoon wedding cruise, as well as a 4-hour nighttime wedding cruise, cruising from South Shore Harbour into Clear Lake and the waterfront of Kemah Boardwalk. Their packages include a captain and minister, wedding coordinator and harbor reception.

Great Oaks Manor
419 Macek Road
Richmond, TX
281-343-9551
info@greatoaksmanor.com

Great Oaks Manor is a historic Houston Texas area bed and breakfast, located minutes away from downtown Houston. What makes Great Oaks Manor so great for a southern wedding is the architecture of the manor, which is an example of Greek Revival architecture, also known as Southern Colonial, with massive Corinthian columns, oak floors and 12-foot ceilings. Another great thing abut Great Oaks Manor is they offer a reasonably-priced elopement package ($585 at the time of this writing), which includes, among other things, the honeymoon suite for the night, full breakfast the next morning, a non-denominational minister, wedding cake and toasting glasses.

They don't provide champagne, but you may bring your own. You are also allowed two guests at no additional charge. They also offer more formal wedding packages, with a maximum of 25 guests for an indoor wedding or 75 guests for an outdoor wedding.

Austin Area Wedding Venues

Austin Party Cruises
2215 Westlake Dr.
512-328-9887
austincruises@aol.com

Another Texas cruise wedding venue, Austin Party Cruises offers cruises for weddings, receptions, and rehearsal dinners on Lake Austin close to downtown. You have plenty of great backdrops for wedding photos, such as Mount Bonnell, Westlake Resorts, and Loop 360 Arch Bridge. You can bring your own food onto the boat, or they can arrange catering for you. They also offer Casino Cruises, so you might want to think about a Casino Cruise wedding as well. They have three boats which can accommodate from 60 to 75 guests.

The Allan House
1104 San Antonio Street
Austin, TX 512-478-8653

Built in 1883, the Allan House is an elegant Victorian mansion located in the heart of Downtown Austin, offering parlors, wide verandas, and a stone patio under a canopy of century-old oak trees, ideal for weddings up to 250 guests, with formal seating indoors for up to 50 guests.

Pecan Street Inn Bed & Breakfast
1010 Pecan Street
Bastrop, Texas
innkeeper@pecanstreetinn.com

Bastrop, Texas is just 25 minutes to downtown Austin, and is the second oldest city in Texas. It's also home to Pecan Street Inn Bed & Breakfast, which is a 1903 Queen Anne/Gothic bed and breakfast, which has been voted "Best B&B in Bastrop Country" for 2004 through 2007. The Inn is 1-1/2 blocks to historic downtown Bastrop, and 2 blocks to the Colorado River and Riverwalk hiking and biking trails.
