Caribbean Destination Weddings

Looking for a island wedding destination that isn't Hawaii? Take a look at the Caribbean! The Caribbean is actually an archipelago of islands, 2000 square miles across. Most of the islands are plateaus and eruptions of underlying mountain systems. What makes the Caribbean a great place for eloping or having a destination wedding? It has nice beaches of crushed coral and white or pink sand and the water at the shore is a deep blue.

Some places of note in the Caribbean to consider while choosing your Caribbean destination wedding:

Anguilla - boasts some of the Caribbean's finest beaches. Very popular with the rich and famous.

Antigua - you'll have a hard time deciding which beaches on Antigua to visit, as the isle is blessed with 365 beaches. You may have to extend your honeymoon for a full year if you want to visit them all.

Barbados - a former member of the British Empire, Barbados is still sometimes known as the "Little England of the Tropics."

Martinique - very French, as, technically, it's a department of France. Expect French culture as well as French food.

St. Maarten - half of the island is French, half is Dutch. For your budgetary considerations, St. Maarten is duty free and tax free.
